Lakme Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact
My lovely gorgeous beauties,
I hope you all are doing good in this scorching heat. Last year in this same
weather I bought a small beauty which has stayed with me like a trustworthy
partner in the last year’s summer and we pledge to stay together in sickness
and health.. (hehehhehehhe).
Ok I have bored you enough. Last year I was on a hunt to
buy a compact powder, which can be used wet and dry with medium coverage , so
that I would not need to buy a full fledge foundation on my cousin’s
engagement. I was a no makeup girl then, or you can say I didn’t want my
foundation to melt away when I say hello to the sun.
Company claims, it would provide 16-hour stay and has
spf-17 and comes with a soft sponge which will help to achieve even look.
At that time I bought this stylish, classy, metallic body
Lakme Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry compact, priced at Rs. 650 which comes
in a black velvet pouch . It is elliptically shaped compact and gave me a hard
time in clicking its pictures as it is so glossy that it acted as a mirror
whenever I tried to take shots. Although I defeated it yeeeeeehhhh ( I hope so
as you are my judges).
Despite being so shiny and glossy its very sturdy and
travel friendly though my rough use is quite visible in the pictures . It finds
space in my bag quite easily either I carry a hand bag or a clutch and this is
what I love about it. My shade is Almond honey, it is not a perfect match for
my tone as I believe it has too much yellow tones, though I still work it
around. It has a quite decent sized mirror and it comes with two compartments
one is for powder and other for the sponge. This thoughtful idea pleased me as
the little soft sponge can be appropriately placed in the separate compartment.
This is one of the best products I have used from Lakme
and kudos to Lakme for it. It has stayed on me very well in hot and humid
weather. It does not melt or looks streaky at all. I wore it on my cousin’s
engagement and it stayed well and kept my makeup intact. Despite having spf-17,
when photographed it didn’t look ashy or oxidise,,, cheers for that.
Till now I have not used it as wet, honestly I don’t
feel the need of it as I am happy with the coverage it provides being dry. However
I have noticed if the brush takes too much product by mistake which happens
with me a lot it looks ghastly on me. Apart from this swatches below can show
that it settles in my skin decently but it is still not my HG product (greedy
meeeeeeeee).
It stays or 5 to 6 hours ( claiming 16 hours was too much, what were you thinking Lakme) and starts to fade away after that. I have been using it since a year and now on a hunt to try a different compact (suggestions are welcome). As I have used it enough and yes I absolutely love it but now I am bored and want to try something new.
Looks like a good one.. Will keep it in mind when I'm in need of a compact
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is, :)
ReplyDeleteYou can go for the shade 02(Rose fair) as it has pink undertones and i am sure that will blends perfectly with your skin colour.

ReplyDeletei would love to try this one :)
ReplyDeleteOhh!! I was suppose to buy this only 'coz they claimed that it stayed for like 16 hours. Sad that their claim is unreasonable.
